20 ML Itraconazole Oral Solution

Primarily indicated for feline dermatophytosis caused by susceptible fungi such as Microsporum canis.

Ingredient: Itraconazole

Indications:

Primarily indicated for feline dermatophytosis caused by susceptible fungi such as Microsporum canis.

Description:Light brown to brown clear liquid.

Pharmacology:Itraconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450-dependent sterol 14α-demethylase, blocking ergosterol synthesis, disrupting fungal cell membrane structure, inhibiting fungal growth and leading to fungal death. Its major metabolite hydroxyitraconazole also has equivalent antifungal activity. It is effective against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum), yeasts (Candida, Malassezia), dimorphic fungi and zygomycetes.

Key Advantages:

2.Broad-spectrum antifungal activity. Covers dermatophytes, yeasts and other pathogenic fungi.

3.Oral liquid formulation. Easy to administer, suitable for cats of different ages.

4.Cyclic therapy design. 7 days on / 7 days off, reduces liver burden and improves safety.

5.Proven clinical efficacy. Well-established for stubborn and recurrent feline ringworm.

Dosage and Administration:

Administer orally on an empty stomach using a dosing syringe: 0.5 mL per kg body weight, once daily.

7 consecutive days treatment + 7 days rest = 1 cycle

Typically 3 cycles for full treatment

2.Gastrointestinal reactions (approximately3%): Diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss, hypersalivation, anorexia.

3.Neurological reactions (approximately1%): Lethargy, fatigue, drowsiness.

Precautions:

1.Use at recommended dosage. Do not overdose, especially in kittens.

2.Monitor vulnerable cats. Close observation for immunodeficient or sick cats.

3.Liver/renal contraindication. Do not use in cats with hepatic or renal impairment.

4.Pregnancy/lactation contraindication. Not for pregnant or nursing cats.
