Ingredient: Fluralaner

Indications:

For the treatment of flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations on the body surface of dogs and cats, tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Haemaphysalis longicornis, Dermacentor variabilis) infestations on the body surface of dogs, and tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Haemaphysalis longicornis, Dermacentor variabilis) infestations on the body surface of cats. This product can be used as part of a clinical treatment regimen for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).

Description:

This product is a colorless to yellow liquid.

Pharmacology:

Fluralaner is an isoxazoline insecticide and acaricide. Its mechanism of action mainly involves interfering with the γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-gated chloride channel, preventing chloride ions from penetrating into the postsynaptic membrane, disrupting the transmembrane signal transmission of the nervous system, leading to nervous system disorders in insects and subsequent death. Fluralaner has no cross-resistance with amidines, macrolides, pyrethroids, dieldrin, etc.

Fluralaner is a systemic antiparasitic drug. Its efficacy in repelling and killing fleas and ticks on the body surface of dogs and cats lasts for 12 weeks. Fluralaner acts rapidly on adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) with a long duration of action, and can also prevent fleas from laying eggs and disrupt the flea life cycle. Fluralaner also has a killing effect on Ixodes spp. and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.

Pharmacokinetics: Fluralaner enters the hair, skin and subcutaneous tissue from the topical administration site, and is then slowly absorbed into the blood circulation. The peak plasma concentration time is 7 to 63 days (dogs) and 3 to 21 days (cats). Fluralaner is distributed systemically, with the highest concentration in fat, followed by liver, muscle and kidney. Fluralaner is eliminated slowly from plasma, with an elimination half-life of 21 days in dogs and 12 days in cats. Fluralaner is rarely metabolized and is mainly excreted in feces as the parent compound, with a small amount excreted in urine.

Key Advantages:

1.Long-lasting efficacy.Provides up to 12 weeks of sustained flea and tick protection with a single application.

2.Broad-spectrum action.Kills fleas, ticks, ear mites, demodex and sarcoptic mange, covering major parasitic infestations.

3.Fast-acting.Starts killing parasites within hours, quickly reducing infestations and disease transmission risk.

4.High safety profile.Safe for young, breeding and lactating pets (cats in lactation under vet advice) with good tolerability.

5.Easy to use.Convenient spot-on application; simple administration, well accepted by dogs and cats.
