Indications:

For the treatment of proteinuria associated with chronic kidney disease in cats.

Description:

This product is a clear, colorless to pale yellow viscous liquid.

Pharmacology：

Telmisartan is a specific angiotensin II type 1 (AT₁) antagonist, highly selective for AT₁ without partial agonist activity. It reduces cats’ mean arterial blood pressure dose-dependently, decreases proteinuria in cats with chronic kidney disease, and exerts beneficial effects on renal function.

Key Advantages:

The drug is rapidly absorbed orally (unaffected by food), has a high plasma protein binding rate, a long half-life, and is bioequivalent to the original product Semintra.

Dosage and Administration:

Adverse Reactions:

1.Mild, transient gastrointestinal signs (regurgitation, vomiting, etc.) may occur, rarely seen in clinical trials.

2.Occasional elevation of liver enzymes, which recovers quickly after drug withdrawal.

3.Hypotension and decreased red blood cell count may occur at the recommended dose.

4.Overdosage may cause marked hypotension, reduced red blood cell count and increased blood urea nitrogen.

Precautions：

1.Treatment duration is determined by veterinarians based on condition; safety not evaluated in cats under 6 months old.

2.Monitor blood pressure in anesthetized cats; give symptomatic treatment (e.g., fluid therapy) for hypotension.

3.Monitor red blood cell count during treatment; do not mix with other veterinary drugs.

4.Keep out of children’s reach; avoid contact by pregnant women and hypersensitive people; dispose as required.
