Ingredient: Povidone-Iodine 10%;

Indication:

This product targets microbial pathogens that threaten aquatic organisms (fish, shrimp, crabs, etc.) and their environment.

Key function include:

Water Disinfection:

Kill harmful microorganisms in pond water, such as bacteria (Aeromonas hydrophila, Vibrio parahaemolyticus), viruses (e.g., koi herpesvirus), and fungi (e.g., Saprolegnia causing “water mold”), reducing disease transmission risks.

Disease Treatment:

Address bacterial/fungal infections in aquatic organisms, such as:

Bacterial diseases: Hemorrhagic septicemia, enteritis, gill rot.

Fungal diseases: Water mold (white cotton-like growth on skin/gills), egg fungus (affecting fish/shrimp eggs).

Environmental & Equipment Sterilization:

Disinfect pond edges, feeding platforms, nets, and oxygen tubes to eliminate residual pathogens (e.g., after disease outbreaks or pond cleaning).

Administration Methods

The effervescent form ensures fast dissolution and uniform iodine distribution.

Common application methods include:

① Whole-Pond Disinfection (Most Common)

Pre-Dissolution:

Calculate the required number of tablets based on pond volume. Place tablets in a clean bucket with pond water (10–20L water per 5–10 tablets) and stir gently until fully dissolved (no undissolved residues, usually 2–5 minutes).

Even Sprinkling:

Pour the dissolved PVP-I solution evenly over the entire pond surface. For large ponds, divide the solution into batches and sprinkle in different areas; use aerators during application to enhance uniformity.

Timing:

Apply in the morning (9–10 AM) or evening (5–6 PM) to avoid strong sunlight (ultraviolet rays reduce iodine activity).

② Targeted Treatment (for Infected Organisms)

For individual sick fish (e.g., ornamental fish or small-scale farming):

Prepare PVP-I solution (dissolve 1 tablet in 100–200L water) and bathe the fish for 15–30 minutes (monitor closely to avoid stress). Repeat once daily for 2–3 days.

For shrimp/crab ponds with localized infections:

Increase dosage in affected areas (e.g., near dead organisms) to ensure pathogen elimination.

③ Equipment Sterilization

Soak nets, feeding trays, or pipes in a 100–200 mg/L PVP-I solution (dissolve 1 tablet in 5–10L water) for 30–60 minutes, then rinse with clean water before reuse.

Dosage Guidelines

Dosage depends on the purpose (prevention/treatment) and pond conditions (water quality, stocking density). Below are general recommendations (based on common tablet specifications: 10% PVP-I content, e.g., 1g tablet = 100mg available iodine):

Application ScenarioDosage (Available Iodine Concentration)Frequency
Routine Prevention (Healthy Ponds)0.1–0.2 mg/L (e.g., 1–2 tablets per 1,000L water)Once every 15–20 days
Disease Prevention (High-Risk Periods: rainy season, temperature fluctuations)0.2–0.3 mg/L (e.g., 2–3 tablets per 1,000L water)Once every 7–10 days
Disease Treatment (Confirmed Infections)0.3–0.5 mg/L (e.g., 3–5 tablets per 1,000L water)Once daily for 2–3 consecutive days; stop if symptoms improve
Equipment Sterilization100–200 mg/L (e.g., 1–2 tablets per 10L water)Soak for

Storage: Keep in a dry and cool place not exceeding 30℃ and avoid light.
